This is the most terrible Mexican Food that I have ever eaten in my entire life of 63 years old. The meat was so tough that it was like eating Beef Jerky; no kidding and they did not put any beans or rice which I specified when I ordered over the phone. It cost $17.97 for what was supposed to be a beef Fajita dinner. They are closed right now, but I may go back tomorrow and try to get my money back. I know it will be hard because the cashier she could not understand English. I just hope that the owners read their Google Reviews and will give me my money back which I think and know will be highly unlikely. If they do not give me my money back, I think that I will write them up to the BBB - Better Business Bureau. I'm a retired USAF Military Veteran, Anthony Mickens PS - I have been living in Hearne where my Dad was born for almost 4 years and have never heard of or seen this place, I got it mixed up with Tortilleria Min Tierra that serves delicious food as Mary's El Alamo
This is my second visit while traveling between Austin and Tyler. First impression; this place is clean, both dining area and restrooms are spotless. That bodes very well regarding operations. It inspires confidence for health reasons, among others, such as management. Each time I visited was morning hours so my wife and I ordered breakfast tacos; potato, egg, and cheese and bacon, egg, and bean. Potatoes cooked like they're supposed to be, crispy outside, tender inside. Traditional refried beans perfectly seasoned. Fresh eggs and flour tortillas. Tacos went very well with fresh pico de gallo and salsa roja. Traditional chips and salsa were provided with red and green sauce. Both flavorful, tangy green salsa. Both a bit spicy just like I like it. Tacos were hot and fresh on both visits some 6-weeks apart. That translates into consistency, which often leads to success in nurturing return customers. Like me! Friendly, conscientious, service. Very reasonable prices for this day and age. Their menu is limited. But still has excellent Mexican food choices sure to please any pallet. I was pleasantly surprised when we were recognized as we entered the restaurant. Service with a smile and obvious pleasure. It's heartwarming to encounter a place like this one in a day where people seem detached and distant. I absolutely recommend a visit. You will not regret it.
Fajitas were burned. We were the Only ones seated and took longer that it should have to recieve order. They do not serve tap water. You have to buy bottled water. Wife's tacos were dry and hard corn tortillas. They did remake a half order of Fajitas which I took to go. The quality of meat was very tough. The red sauce tasted like bottled hot sauce. The green sauce was good.The server was more interested in talking to other employees than waitng on us. We keep an eye on there rating before we go back for another try. Might give breakfast a try.
